You Have Freedom of Choice as of May 15th

As of May 15, 2022, OneShare Health will not be a part of the First Health® Network. Instead, we're excited to announce that you will have the freedom to choose any healthcare Provider, Hospital, and Facility you would like, all while enjoying lower Out-of-Pocket expenses and stretching your healthcare dollars!

To bring you this no-restriction freedom of choice, we facilitate sharing at a Fair and Reasonable Amount for Eligible Inpatient, Outpatient, Hospital, Surgery Center, or Clinical Lab Facility care!

Is your doctor not on the list? We are excited to announce that OneShare will now accept any accommodating Provider and work with them behind the scenes to ensure you receive a fair price for the services performed.

How to Select a Provider and Manage Medical Bills After May 15th

As a OneShare Health Member, you will be empowered with the freedom of choice when searching for medical care and will be provided with tools to help you navigate and actively participate in your healthcare decisions. You will be welcome to choose your own Provider, however some Providers are more friendly than others to Health Care Sharing Ministries like OneShare Health.

My Choice Provider Locator:

You will have access to the OneShare Health Provider Locator, an online search tool which lists the Physicians who have an existing relationship with OneShare Health or one of our partners, and whose bills are likely to be processed more quickly and efficiently.

Physician Office Visits:

After May 15th, you will have the freedom to schedule a visit with a Physician not listed in the search tool. In doing so, there may be additional cost and sharing responsibility for the difference between the Physician’s final charges and the Fair and Reasonable Amount. If so, please contact OneShare Health.

Before Visiting your Doctor (After May 15, 2022):

  • Check the My Choice Provider Locator to find a doctor.
  • Call OneShare Health for help finding a Hospital, Facility, or Lab near you.
  • Talk to your physician about your Program.
  • Advocate for your Program as a Member-driven option to save you and other Members money.

Asking the Right Questions with Your Doctor

In rare instances, a doctor not listed in the My Choice Provider Locator will insist on receiving their full billed charge and refuse to negotiate with OneShare, leaving a Member with some additional sharing responsibility.

Hospital / Inpatient / Outpatient / Facilities / Labs:

After May 15th, services not performed in a Physician’s office can be scheduled at the Facility of your choice! Eligible Expenses are processed at a Fair and Reasonable Amount.

Medical Bill Submissions:

OneShare Health will facilitate the sharing of Eligible expenses among Members. Therefore, your Providers can send bills to OneShare for processing.

Payments On The Date Of Service:

After May 15th, please do not pay any bills unless required to do so at the time of service. If payment is required by the Provider that day, make sure you are charged the self-pay or cash-pay rate, which should be much less than the usual billed charges. If you do pay a bill on the date of service, keep all your records to send directly to OneShare for processing.

Balance Bills:

It will be possible for a Provider to send you a bill for the difference between their billed charges and the Fair and Reasonable Amount. Do not pay any balance bill without first contacting OneShare Health.

Fair & Reasonable Sharing:

Fair and Reasonable Sharing is OneShare Health’s model that will facilitate sharing at a fair amount when compared to services performed. We will start with approving an amount based upon a percentage above the Provider’s Medicare rate. If a Provider does not accept that amount, we will advocate on your behalf with the Provider to significantly reduce their charges, when appropriate.

Membership Program Changes Live as of May 15th

  • Emergency Room – Eligible expenses on all Programs and tiers for Emergency Room visits are shared up to $10,000, then ISA Applies.
  • New and Improved Guidebooks – We have updated our Guidebooks to reflect the latest changes to our Member Discounts and Programs. New Membership Guidelines will be available in the Member Portal on May 15, 2022.
  • New ID Cards – We will be sending new Membership ID Cards with the updated sharing and discount information by May 15, 2022. OneShare Health will mail the cards to the address we have on file. In addition, you can access the information through your Member Portal.

    To make sure you receive your card on time, please verify your address with Member Support by April 15, 2022. If any corrections are required to the information we have on file, please specify the correct and complete information in correspondence to Member Support, along with your name and Member ID Number.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

There was a typo on some of the upcoming ID cards. The URL listed on the card says WellCareSavings.com. But the URL is actually WellCardSavings.com. This will be correctly linked on our website and in emails and other materials, but please be aware that this typo will not drive you to the correct web page. Please reach out to Member Support for any questions.

You Have New Discount Programs as of May 15th

We will no longer use Careington for Discount Services. Instead, we will switch to a new and improved Discount Savings Program1 that includes even more robust savings on what matters most, like Dental, Vision, and Prescription needs, with exciting Medical Discounts and even something to benefit your fur babies with TeleVet! Plus, you will be able to enjoy discounts on fun things like entertainment, including Disney® theme parks, movie tickets, hotels, rental cars, and more! Please see state and Program-specific updates below:

  • Massachusetts (MA) Members: We have increased your Program Features to include Discounts such as TeleVet plus entertainment and Lifestyle Discounts, including Disney® theme parks, movie tickets, hotels, rental cars, and more!
  • Washington (WA) Catastrophic Members: We will upgrade your Discount Services to include more comprehensive savings and some exciting Lifestyle Discounts. These discounts include Diabetes Care & Supplies, HealBright (Emotional Wellness), Daily Living Products, Entertainment Benefits, TeleDentist, TeleVet, and more!
  • Alaska (AK) and Montana (MT) Members: You will no longer receive Vision and Dental discounts—that included Elixir Savings and Dental POS—from Careington. Instead, you’re encouraged to download the Clever Health™ App to save up to 80% on prescription drugs with Clever RX! Plus, we’re offering new Features that include Diabetes Care & Supplies, HealBright (Emotional Wellness), Daily Living Products, Entertainment Benefits, TeleDentist, TeleVet, and more!
  • Prescription Sharing will no longer be available for all Members on the Complete Program where sharing was available as well as Washington state (WA) Members enrolled in the Classic Program. OneShare Health encourages these Members to fill their prescriptions prior to May 15, 2022, to be Eligible for Sharing according to Membership Guidelines. After May 15, all Members will still have access to Prescription Discounts through the Clever Health™ App where you can save up to 80% on prescription drugs.
