Changes to Improved Provider Access, Membership Programs, and Discount Services Are Now Live!

Members will have Freedom of Choice as of May 15th

We are continually innovating new and unique ways to serve our Members and their medical needs. As part of these updates, on May 15, 2022, OneShare Health will no longer be a part of First Health® Provider Network. Instead, Members will have the freedom to see the Provider of their choice. To bring Members no-restriction freedom of choice, we will facilitate sharing at a Fair and Reasonable Amount for Eligible Inpatient, Outpatient, Hospital, Surgery Center, or Clinical Lab Facility care! We will lower Member costs for most services by using a percentage above Medicare allowable.

Highlights of the expanded Provider Choice include:

  • Decreased Out-of-Pocket costs for Members on most services
  • More sharing dollars available for the Member population
  • Advocation and seamless processing of balance bills for our Members
  • Greater Provider choice for Members without Out-of-Network penalties

My Choice Provider Locator Tool:

Our Members need to find doctors they can trust. That's why OneShare Members have access to an easy-to-use My Choice Provider Locator, which lists the doctors who have already partnered with us!

Is your Member's doctor not on the list, but they'd like to keep them? We are excited to announce that OneShare will now accept any accommodating Provider and work with them behind the scenes to ensure our Members receive a fair price for the services performed! Check it out by clicking below.

Changes to Our Membership Programs Live as of May 15th

For All Existing and New Members

  • Emergency Room – Eligible expenses on all Programs and tiers for Emergency Room visits are shared up to $10,000, then ISA Applies.

For Newly Enrolled Members on or after May 15th

Existing Members will be grandfathered, and these will not apply

  • Program Visit Fee Changes
    • Classic Physician – $40 Visit Fee
    • Classic Specialist – $75 Visit Fee
    • Classic Urgent Care Facility – $75 Visit Fee
    • Classic Emergency Room – $500 Visit Fee
    • Catastrophic Emergency Room – $500 Visit Fee
  • Preventive Services Waiting Period – There will be a 180-Day Waiting Period for new Members’ Preventive Services starting May 15, 2022. (excluding immunizations)
  • Newborn Sharing Eligibility Changes – Newborns who were conceived prior to Active Date will have a 30-Day Waiting Period to be added to the Program.
  • Tobacco Use – Smoking / Vaping / other tobacco use will be a new disqualifying question for prospective Members. Applicants who answer "yes" to using tobacco or vaping in the previous 12 months will not be able to enroll with OneShare Health.

Upcoming Changes to Our Discount Services on May 15th

Discount Services will no longer be offered via Careington starting May 15, 2022. The following changes will be made to the Discount Services:

  • New Member ID Cards – We will be sending new Membership ID Cards with the updated sharing and discount information by May 15. We will mail the ID Cards to the address we have on file. In addition, Members can access the information through their Member Portal.

    We are presently reaching out to verify your Members' addresses that are currently on record. If any corrections are required and the Member sends that information to you, please forward to Member Support for processing.
  • New and Improved Membership Guidelines – We have updated our Guidelines to reflect the latest changes to our Member Discounts and Programs listed below. Guidelines are available for Members on our website as well as their Member Portal.
  • New & Improved Discount Savings Program – Our more robust Discount Savings Program includes Dental, Vision, and Prescription needs with exciting Medical Discounts and even something to benefit their fur babies with TeleVet! Plus, Members can now enjoy discounts on fun things like entertainment, including Disney® theme parks, movie tickets, hotels, rental cars, and more! This is not insurance. It is a discount medical program. It does not replace COBRA or any other medical insurance program nor is it a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. Cardholders are responsible for paying the discounted cost at the time of service from participating providers. WellCard Savings is FREE. WellCard Savings will not share or sell your personal information. The discount plan organization is Access One Consumer Health, Inc. (not affiliated with AccessOne Medcard), 84 Villa Road, Greenville, SC, 29615, https://www.accessonedmpo.com/. This plan and the plan administrators have no liability for providing or guaranteeing service or any liability for the quality of service rendered. This program is not available to residents of Montana, but may be used at participating Montana providers. Other state residents visit www.WellCardSavings.com for full disclosure.

WellCard Savings programs will vary by state and are not owned or operated by OneShare Health, LLC. Discount Medical Plan Organization benefits are not available to AK, MA, MT, VT, and WA Members.

Washington Catastrophic Members: Members still have access to Prescription Discounts through the Washington State HCA, in addition to the Clever Health Prescription Discounts. WA Catastrophic Members will also gain the following:

  • Diabetes Care & Supplies
  • HealBright - Emotional Wellness
  • Daily Living Products
  • Cash Rewards
  • Vitamins
  • Entertainment Benefits
  • Fitness
  • TeleDentist
  • TeleVet

Alaska and Montana Members:
Will no longer receive Dental, Vision, MRI & Imaging, Lab Savings, Lifeline Screening, and Hearing Care. They will have access to Clever Health Prescription Discounts in addition gaining these Discounts:

  • Diabetes Care & Supplies
  • HealBright - Emotional Wellness
  • Daily Living Products
  • Cash Rewards
  • Vitamins
  • Entertainment Benefits
  • Fitness
  • TeleDentist
  • TeleVet

For any of the above Members, don’t forget to remind them they can still receive up to 80% savings on Prescriptions with Clever Health!

 

April 15th Updates Are Live:

Changes to Member Monthly Contribution Amounts—Live as of April 15th

  • Current Members enrolled on or before March 1, 2021, will have an increase of 5% to their Monthly Contributions. This will be applied on the next billing cycle following April 15, 2022.
  • For enrolling new Members, current quoting platforms will see an increase of 4% on all Programs and tiers.

Please note the following exclusions from Contribution increases:

  • Members who have moved into a new age band within the past six months (October 15, 2021 – April 14, 2022)
  • Members who will move into a new age band in the next six months (April 15, 2022 – October 15, 2022)

This is intended to offset the following factors:

  • An increase of $36 Million in submitted Share Requests due to the COVID pandemic.
  • The industry medical cost trend is expected to increase 6.5% in 2022.

Complete Membership Programs No Longer Available for Enrollment as of April 15th

Beginning on April 15, 2022, the Complete Program is no longer available for enrollment through OneShare Health (OneShare Health will still support current Members of the Complete Program without Prescription Sharing). OneShare Health encourages Members to fill prescription refills prior to May 15, to be Eligible for Sharing according to Membership Guidelines. After May 15, Members should utilize the Clever Health™ app to save up to 80% on prescription drugs.

Please discard any old brochures, marketing materials, or other outdated resources for the Complete Program as it will no longer be available to prospective Members.
