Job Purpose

The Vice President of Strategic Development is responsible for planning and executing growth initiatives focused on developing and maintaining business relationships with targeted affinity channels, resulting in significant, successful, and sustained membership growth for the organization. This is a "boots on the ground" role responsible for the day to day execution of growth strategies and direct relationship management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies trends and environmental opportunities which directly support the achievement of growth strategies and objectives
  • Drives engagements with potential partners to build affinity pipeline and secure partnership agreements
  • Creates and executes business plans to accelerate OSH revenue, target new strategic partners, and ensure alignment with the OSH strategic direction
  • Identifies pursues relationships with organizations such as Churches, Advocacy Groups, or other faith-based organizations with the goal of growing company membership
  • Develops annual growth goals and manages applicable budget(s) accurately and within set parameters
  • Develops business plans focused on existing relationships to enhance visibility, impact, growth, and future opportunities
  • Builds and maintains plans for named accounts to understand key decision makers and potential revenue opportunities; and key points of contact for on-going client relations
  • Ensures commitments made in terms of communications, materials, or other follow-up are met and delivered professionally and on-time, as promised
  • Regularly monitors communications to ensure high levels of responsiveness and regular, proactive follow up on behalf of the company
  • Updates and maintains Salesforce; specific to Strategic Development needs and requirements
  • Works effectively with Marketing in the coordination of email campaigns and other cross-functional projects
  • Maintains highest level of professionalism and positive demeanor during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders and customers


  • High School Diploma Required. Degree in business, marketing, or related field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years experience in sales and key account management
  • 3-5 years health care experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Demonstrated sales and account management success
  • Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining a successful territory/client base with strategic growth
  • Demonstrated excellence in communications: verbal, written, interpersonal, and public speaking
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, think critically, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with and comfort working in various CRM systems
